Australian Gold Nugget (Kangaroo) Bullion coin
In 1987, the Australian Gold Nugget was introduced by the Gold Corporation (Perth Mint), it was the first gold bullion coin minted by the mint.
The coins have legal tender status in Australia and are one of few legal tender bullion coins to change their design each year, another being the Chinese Gold Panda bullion coin.

New Name and Design
In 1987, with The Australian Gold Nugget bullion coin's original release, the reverse face of each individually sized coin had its own design of a Gold Nugget found in Australia.
In 1990, the reverse side's design changed to the "Australian Kangaroo" and the design changed each year, unlike the Nugget design.
Ultimately, in 2008, the Perth Mint changed the bullion coin's name from "The Australian Nugget" to the "Australian Kangaroo" gold bullion coin.

American Buffalo Gold Bullion Coins
The 1 oz. American Buffalo Gold bullion coins were first authorized by Congress in 2005 and first minted in June 2006.
The gold buffalo coin is the first .9999 fine, 24-karat gold coin ever struck by the United States Mint.
Design
The American Buffalo bullion coin's obverse and reverse features images by the noted American sculptor James Earle Fraser, a pupil of Augustus Saint-Gaudens.
The gold buffalo takes it's image from the "Indian Head", or "Buffalo Nickel" which was introduced in 1913.
Obverse
The obverse side of the coin depicts a Native American Indian Chief.
Fraser said he created the design by mixing the features of three Great Indian Chiefs from different American Indian tribes.
The three Indian Chiefs were Big Tree, Iron Tail, and Two Moons, all who posed as models for him to sketch.
This side of the coin also displays the year of issue, located in the Indian's shoulder and the word "LIBERTY" inscribed at the top left of the bullion coin.
The letter "F" is displayed directly below the year of issue, the "F" represents the first letter in James Earle Fraser's last name.
Reverse
The reverse of the gold bullion coin features the American Bison.
The words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "E PLURIBUS UNUM" are inscribed at the top of the gold bullion coin.
"IN GOD WE TRUST" is located below the bison's head and the face value of the coin "$50" is directly below the bison.
In addition, the bullion coins weight and purity "1OZ. .9999 FINE GOLD" is found directly below the face value of the American Buffalo Gold Bullion Coin.

British Gold Sovereigns
British Gold Sovereigns are one of the most popular gold bullion coins in the world.
Every Sovereign coin is legal English tender, containing .2354 troy oz. of gold, making them about the size of a U.S. nickel.
Design
Obverse
The Obverse side of all the Gold Sovereign bullion coins display the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley.
This older version of the Queen's portrait has been used on UK coinage since 1998.
Ian Rank-Broadley's Initials can be found directly under the Queen's neck.
Inscribed on this side of the coin are the words "ELIZABETH II", "DEI", "GRA", "REGINA", "FID", "DEF."
"DEI, GRA, REGINA, FID, DEF" stand for Dei gratia regina fidei defensor which is a Latin title which translates to "Defender of the Faith" in English.
The phrase has been used as part of the full style of many monarchs since the early 16th century.

Reverse
The reverse side of the British Gold Sovereign coin depicts St. George slaying the dragon created by Benedetto Pistrucci.
Benedetto Pistrucci's initials are found in the lower left of the bullion coin.
The year of issue is also found on the reverse side of the coin.

History
In 1489, King Henry VII commissioned the first production of the Gold Sovereign coin.
Named after the English gold sovereign, last minted in 1604, the name was revived with the Great Recoinage of 1816. Production of these new sovereigns began in 1817.
The gold content was then fixed at 113 grains (7.322 g), equivalent to 0.2354 Troy ounces, a weight which has remained constant up to the present day.
Sovereigns were minted in the UK from 1817 to 1917, 1925, and 1957 onwards. In addition, they were also minted occasionally in Australia, India, Canada and South Africa.
The Royal Mint has also struck 10-shilling half sovereigns, two pound double sovereigns, and five pound quintuple sovereigns coins.
Only the Gold Sovereign and Half Sovereigns were commonly struck for full production.
In 2009, The Royal Mint released the newest coin in the sovereign series, the Gold Quarter Sovereign.

South African Gold Krugerrand
The Gold Krugerrand is the World's most circulated gold bullion coin.
The gold bullion coin gets its name from the popular four-term President of the old Republic of South Africa, Paul Kruger (pictured) (1883-1900) and the Rand, the South African currency.
In 1966, the South African Reserve Bank, gave authorization to the Rand Refinery Ltd to manufacture gold blanks and the South African Mint to strike the blanks into Krugerrand gold coins.
Design
Obverse
The obverse side of the South African Gold Krugerrand displays the portrait of Paul Kruger.
"SUID~AFRIKA" is inscribed along the inner perimeter of the gold bullion coin. The language is Afrikaans, the native language of South Africa.
In addition, the English pronunciation "SOUTH AFRICA" is also inscribed on obverse side of the gold coin.
Reverse
The Reverse side of the Gold Krugerrand features the Spingbok (gazelle), one of the national symbols of South Africa.
The reverse side of the coin was designed by Coert Steynberg, his initials "CLS" can be found directly above the word "GOLD" on the left face side of the gold bullion coin.
"KRUGERRAND" is inscribed along the top of the coin.
The year of issue is shown broken in half and displayed on both sides of the Springbok.
Inscribed at the bottom are the words "FYNGOUD 1OZ FINE GOLD" representing the Gold Krugerrand's weight and purity.

History
The first Gold Krugerrand coins were minted in 1967, for the first several years the gold coins were produced for collectors in proof-like fashion.
The South African mint didn't start to mass produce the Krugerrand in bullion form until 1970.
In the 1970's and 1980's, South Africa's policy of apartheid brought along economic sanctions against the country which made the Krugerrand an illegal import in many Western countries.
In 1994, South Africa abandoned apartheid, when the sanctions ended the Krugerrand regained it status as one of the worlds leading gold bullion coin.
